Our Story
Anacostia Organics Dispensary (AO) is proud to be the only licensed medical cannabis dispensary located East of the River in Historic Anacostia, Washington, DC. Our CEO/Owner, Linda Greene, and her daughter, Tamia Harper, are one of the first three Black mother-daughter licensed dispensary owning teams in the country. Linda has been a tireless advocate in the local and national cannabis landscape and, along with the other legacy District licensees, is largely responsible for advances in cannabis regulation in our city, like self-attestation for anyone 21 years of age or older with a valid government-issued ID.
At AO Dispensary, we are guided by our principles and dedicated to educating our community and bringing more diversity into the cannabis industry. Our store is located in the community in which we live, and we hire from within our community.
Your best health and well-being is our main motivation. Each visitor to our dispensary receives personal attention from our Patient Care Specialists to ensure they are getting the exact products they need.
At Anacostia Organics Dispensary, we’re a family, not a factory.
